No 8 Shore
No 8 Shore has just about everything for everyone - as much peace as you like, as much activity as you like - and all of the bits in between.
Near to the mountains, steeped in history (there's a new book in there that's more interesting and exciting than any history book that I've ever read: Forgandenny - A place to Remember: see if you can find one of your ancient ancestors in there) - and the sea is only 30 metres away from the front door!
It's in the town, but not in the town! Sit in the kitchen and look over the town to the 1000-year old Arbroath Abbey. Sit in the lounge or a bedroom and see no town, just the harbour, and the sea beyond - the next land beyond that is Denmark, 500 miles away.
Light sleeper, early riser? Watch the sun rise out of the sea. Late to bed? Watch the yachts in the harbour at midnight, moving gently against their moorings - no people - just magical peace.
Sunrise, winter, just west of Arbroath
